Richard Foster was born in 1945 and brought up in Norfolk. He was educated at Harrow, Trinity College, Oxford, Studio Simi, Florence and City and Guilds of London Art School.
Since 1976 he has been a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, was Vice President 1991-1994.
Richard aims to produce something of lasting enjoyment and interest, and to capture the moment of time. He tries to paint in fresh, clean and immediate colours. Simple fine pictures for our t ime and for all time.
